At Veritas, our mission is to make and be disciples of Jesus in Dayton. When the risen Lord Jesus first passed this mission on to His disciples, He said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20). In order to be and make disciples, we need to know, believe, and share what Jesus has commanded in His Word. This is no small task— so where do we start when we open our Bibles?
Workshop DeSCRIPTION:
Join Pastor Garrison, Dr. Zach Hedges, and missionary Matt Smith for a class on God’s heart for the nations and the church’s calling to make disciples of all nations. We’ll look at what Scripture teaches about missions, learn from faithful Christians throughout history who have carried out this calling both near and far, and hear from Matt about what these biblical truths look like on the ground today. We’ll consider how we can faithfully participate in the Great Commission through prayer, giving, sending, and going!
