Fall 2026 Adult Class: Christian Apologetics and Worldview
Is God is stirring in you a desire to be more involved in evangelism? Do you want to reach out to your neighbors and friends with the gospel but are not sure how to do it? We all know people who need Christ, but we often feel afraid that we are not prepared or equipped to handle their responses. This class is for you! Do you have teenagers or college-age children who increasingly ask you complex questions about complicated issues of life and religion, questions that you are not confident you can answer? This class is for you! Does the world seem to be more sophisticated, hardened, intimidating, and hostile in its opposition to the Christian faith? Do you want to be salt and light, but feel overwhelmed by the challenge? Are you wondering how to cope and how can our light penetrate the world’s darkness? This class is for you!
This fall, Veritas Learning is offering Christian Apologetics and Worldview as our adult Sunday School class, taught by Ric Kensinger. This class is the first part of an introductory three-part course that combines teaching on apologetics (reasoned defense of the faith) and worldview (the lenses through which we view reality). Topics will include defining apologetics and how to engage in it, defining worldview and Biblical meta-narrative, and exploring the main components of a worldview (the Christian worldview in particular).
Students will be supplied with class notes a week in advance of each lesson. They are expected to read the notes and come prepared to interact and discuss the following Sunday morning. Students will also receive a course outline to assist them in following the organization of thought. This is not a mere academic class, but rather a "thinking" class that will be spiritually rewarding and faith enriching. We intend to train and equip Veritas Church to be confident and effective disciple makers. We desire God to move in our minds and hearts that we may be stirred to faithful service for Christ’s kingdom. Please register for the class by September 6 to secure your spot!
