8:45-9:45am

Spring 2026 Semester begins on January 18

During our Sunday School Hour (8:45-9:45am) we have four classes, designed for different ages. We have three classes for children, as well as an adult class. Register for the adult class here →

Kids Classes

Elementary Bible Class
1st-3rd Grades

The introductory Elementary Bible class uses The Biggest Story Curriculum to learn the big story of the Bible by spending time in individual Bible stories moving from Genesis to Revelation over 2 years. We also memorize a Bible verse together each semester.

Elementary Catechism Class
4th-6th Grades

Older elementary level students will focus on learning and memorizing the New City Catechism, with a clear goal of introducing children to the basic tenets of the Christian faith.

Teen Catechism Class
7th Grade and up

Our Teen Catechism class also goes through the New City Catechism, but with a focus on asking "Is this true?" and "Why does this matter" as kids are invited to explore the tenets of the Christian faith as they relate to life in God's world.

Adult Class

Christian Theology
Ages 16 and up

This theology class is designed to be entry level and suitable for any Christian, but may be particularly helpful to newer Christians. Theology simply means the knowledge or study of God. Theology is for all of us, not just those who are natural academics or those who enjoy reading. It’s crucial for us all to know what we believe so that we might live in light of it and share it with others. Young adults 16+ are welcome to attend if they have already completed two years of catechism class.

The class runs for 15 weeks, beginning January 18 and ending May 3, with a break for Easter Sunday. This semester’s class will be taught by JJ Krumlauf and Natalie Herr. There will be assigned reading and homework questions each week from Everyone’s A Theologian by R.C. Sproul. Most of the homework will focus around defining theological terms. We estimate this homework to take about an hour or two each week. Lap infants up to age one are welcome. There is currently no childcare for toddlers and preschoolers during Sunday School. (If you have a young child and would really like to come to class, please contact Natalie for help brainstorming childcare solutions. We'll make every effort to help make it happen!)

The cost for this class is $5, which simply covers the cost of the book. Contact Natalie at natalieherr@gmail.com with any questions or if cost is a barrier to attending class.
